Inspection preparation
Driving to the technical inspection with a car you are not sure about is gambling with your time. A red certificate means coming back for a re-inspection, usually with a garage visit in between. Queueing twice for something that could have been done in one go.
That is why we check your car in advance on exactly the points the inspector checks: brakes, lights, tyres, suspension, play in the steering, emissions, visibility and the vehicle documents. Anything that is not in order, we repair with your approval. You get a free quote the same working day first, and you drive to the inspection station with a car that is ready to pass.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly does the inspector check?
The inspection tests the brakes on a roller bench, checks lights and visibility, tyres and suspension, play in the steering joints, corrosion on load-bearing parts, the emissions (with a particle counter for diesels) and the vehicle documents. We run through exactly the same list in advance, so there are no surprises at the station.
Is this the same as the MOT or the Dutch APK?
The principle is the same: a mandatory periodic check of safety and emissions. In Belgium the inspection is organised per region, with its own deadlines and stations. We prepare your car for the Belgian technical inspection, based on the points actually checked here.
How often does my car need to be inspected?
In Flanders a passenger car goes to the inspection for the first time at four years old. After that it is inspected every two years as long as the car has under 160,000 km, and yearly above that. If you sell your car to a private buyer, a separate pre-sale inspection is required.
What if my car fails anyway?
With a red certificate you get fourteen days to have the remarks repaired and return for a re-inspection, where only the failed points are checked again. We schedule the repair with priority, so you can present the car again well within that period.
Do you repair immediately what is not in order?
Yes, but never without your approval. Small things like a bulb, a wiper blade or a voltage issue are often solved on the spot. For bigger jobs you first get a free quote with the cost and the urgency, and you decide what we carry out.
Is this also useful when selling my car?
Certainly. For a sale to a private buyer the car has to pass the pre-sale inspection, and a clean report without remarks sells a lot more easily. We check the car in advance, so you drive to the station with peace of mind and your buyer sees a strong file.
