You'll also need these documents
Handing over a Car-Pass is always mandatory for a private sale in Belgium. Until 31 August 2026 the seller must also arrange a pre-sale inspection; from 1 September 2026 a valid periodic inspection certificate is enough in Flanders (imported cars still need an inspection). You also hand over the registration certificate (both parts), the certificate of conformity and, if you have them, the maintenance booklet and invoices.
