Yes, that is allowed. European regulation guarantees your free choice of a professional garage for servicing, without losing your factory warranty. Below: the legal basis, the conditions the servicing must meet and the proof we record for you.
The European block exemption for motor vehicles (Regulation 461/2010) prohibits manufacturers from tying the factory warranty to servicing at the brand dealer. A manufacturer may only refuse a warranty claim if the servicing itself did not follow its prescriptions, never because an independent garage carried it out.
In practice: a clause like "servicing required at the dealer, or the warranty lapses" is not enforceable in the European Union. What does count is how the servicing was done. That is our job.
To the manufacturer's schedule
Every service at the prescribed moment, with every prescribed item. We read out the schedule per chassis number, exactly like the dealer does.
Parts and fluids of original quality
Parts that meet the manufacturer's specifications. As an approved Bosch Car Service, that is how we work by default.
Everything documented
The proof is your protection in a warranty claim: what was done, when, and with which parts.
Your battery warranty stays intact too
For hybrids and EVs the same principle applies to the separate battery warranty, often 8 years or 160,000 km. Our technicians hold the Belgian sectoral EDUCAM certificate HEV level 2 and follow the manufacturer's schedule, so that warranty stays intact as well.
Yes, especially then. The European rules exist precisely to give you free choice during the warranty period. You do not have to wait until the warranty ends to come to us.
No. A defect covered by the factory warranty is repaired free of charge by the brand dealer; have it done there. The servicing around it can be done with us. If something is a warranty case, we tell you honestly and send you on instead of charging you.
Recalls are always free at the brand dealer, even if you service with us. Software updates that are part of the maintenance schedule we carry out where the manufacturer allows it.
No. We keep your car's full service history and provide a copy of every invoice and every signed-off schedule on request. The digital service book at the manufacturer also remains as proof.
Yes. The factory warranty belongs to the car, not the owner. If you buy a used car with remaining warranty, it simply continues as long as servicing is done correctly and documented.
