Polishing and waxing
Car paint ages: UV light, car wash brushes and dirt leave fine scratches and a dull haze after a few years. The original colour and shine are usually still there, just underneath. By machine polishing we remove a wafer-thin layer of damaged paint, without respraying, and that shine comes back up.
We do this in our own workshop, as an extension of our car wash and valeting service. After polishing we wax the car: a protective layer that holds the shine and gives dirt and water less grip. Ideal to prepare your car for sale or simply to enjoy driving it again, with a free quote up front.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between polishing and waxing?
Polishing is the repair: machine-removing a wafer-thin layer of damaged paint so fine scratches and dullness disappear. Waxing is the protection: a wax layer that seals and holds the restored shine. Each is possible separately, but the combination gives the finest and longest-lasting result.
Can every scratch be polished out?
Only scratches within the clear top coat. A rule of thumb: if your fingernail does not catch in the scratch, chances are good we can polish it out. If you can see the primer or the metal, paint repair via our bodywork service is needed. We look at it honestly with you before we start.
How long does the result stay visible?
Count on several months, depending on how the car is parked and washed. A hand wash or a soft car wash extends the result, and having the wax layer renewed yearly keeps the paint in good condition for the long run.
Is polishing harmful to the paint?
Every polish removes a wafer-thin layer of paint, so it cannot be repeated without limit. That is why we work in stages and never polish more aggressively than the damage requires. For the yearly upkeep a light treatment with a fresh wax layer is enough.
Is it worth it before a sale or trade-in?
Yes. First impressions weigh heavily in a sale or trade-in: a car with a deep shine looks cared for and well maintained. We prepare our own used cars for sale in exactly the same way, for exactly that reason.
How long does a treatment take?
Depending on the size of the car and the condition of the paint, count on half a day to a full working day. You can wait in the showroom, borrow a bike for free or reserve a replacement car.
