Maintenance · Bosch Car Service Roeselare

Motorhome and camper servicing

Seven out of ten European motorhomes sit on a Fiat Ducato or its technical twins, the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer: same chassis, same engines, built in the same factory. That chassis is our home turf. Cornette has worked on Fiat for over sixty years, and every spring our car park fills up with motorhomes being readied for the season.

We take care of the entire vehicle side: servicing, brakes, timing belt, air conditioning, tyres, diagnostics and inspection preparation, always to factory specifications and recorded in the digital service book. Is your motorhome built on a Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit or VW Crafter? You are welcome too: as a certified Bosch Car Service we work on all brands.

When to bring your motorhome in?

  • For the annual service, ideally in spring or autumn, outside the rush
  • After winter storage: brakes, tyres and battery suffer from months of standing still
  • Before the technical inspection, we hand it over inspection-ready
  • The air conditioning needs a check or refill before the summer trip
  • Your tyres are older than six years, rubber ages even with low mileage
  • A warning light is on or it lacks power: diagnosis first, then repair

Why Cornette?

  • We know the Ducato chassis and its twins Jumper and Boxer through sixty years of Fiat experience
  • All brands welcome as a certified Bosch Car Service, including Sprinter, Transit and Crafter
  • Motorhomes are daily business here, especially in spring
  • Factory specifications and digital service book, your warranty stays valid
  • Diagnosis and a clear quote first, then you decide

The Ducato chassis and its twins

The Fiat Ducato has been Europe's most popular motorhome base vehicle for seventeen years running, and the Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer are mechanically the same vehicle from the same factory. If your motorhome sits on any of the three, it sits on the chassis our workshop has known its whole history. Parts are ordered through the official channels.

Air conditioning ready for summer

A cab air conditioner that stood idle for months often cools noticeably less, right when you need it most. We check the system, trace leaks and refill with the correct gas, R134a or R1234yf. Plan this in spring: you leave without surprises and avoid the June queue.

Vehicle side and habitation side

We handle everything your motorhome drives on: engine, brakes, suspension, electronics, air conditioning, tyres and inspection. The habitation side, think gas installation, fridge, heating or damp checks, is a separate trade we deliberately leave to the conversion specialist. That way you know exactly what you can count on us for.

Frequently asked questions

My motorhome is built on a Citroën Jumper or Peugeot Boxer, do you know those?

As well as the Ducato, because it is technically the same vehicle: same chassis, same engines, same factory in Italy. Everything we know about the Ducato applies to the Jumper and Boxer, down to the parts channels.

Do you also service the habitation side, such as gas, fridge or damp issues?

No, deliberately not. The habitation side is a separate trade with its own inspections and specialists, and we would rather not promise anything we do not carry out ourselves. For everything your motorhome drives on, from engine to brakes to air conditioning, we take care of it completely.

Does my factory warranty stay valid with you?

Yes. European regulation allows servicing at an independent garage without losing the factory warranty, as long as the work follows the manufacturer's specifications. As a Bosch Car Service we work exactly to those specifications and record every service in the digital service book.

My tyres still have plenty of tread, do they need replacing anyway?

Motorhome tyres rarely wear out on tread: they age. Rubber dries out through standing still, sunlight and the high load per wheel. From six years on we inspect them critically; from ten years they are due for replacement regardless of tread. The production date is on the DOT code on the sidewall.

When should I plan servicing before the summer holidays?

In spring, well before June. That leaves time to fix anything we find before you leave, and you avoid the peak rush just before the season. The same goes for the air conditioning: better checked in April than queuing in July.
