In 1961 Willy Cornette and his wife Monique Bruneel opened a Fiat dealership in Handzame. This is where our passion for customer satisfaction started!
Hans Cornette and his wife Ria Vancayseele took over the business and completely renovated the garage to include a new showroom and a workshop.
A second branch, an Alfa Romeo dealership, was launched in Roeselare. With this investment, Cornette had a foothold in Roeselare.
The business outgrew its branches in Handzame and Roeselare. In 2008, a 4000 m² site was purchased in Roeselare and a completely new garage and showroom were built. This laid the foundation for a company that meets modern needs and challenges.
Since 2014, Niels has been heading the third Cornette generation. His business management diploma in Automotive and Advanced Automotive Management has thoroughly prepared him for the many challenges that the car industry presents to us.
To offer more diversity, we extended our sales to all brands, with a focus on nearly new and relatively new used cars. As for after-sales, Cornette is the official service centre for Fiat, Fiat Professional and Alfa Romeo. Through our collaboration with the quality label Bosch Car Service, we offer maintenance and repairs for all brands.
With the purchase of the adjacent plot, Cornette Automotive now has a total area of 8000 m². The showroom was renovated and expanded, and a new workshop was added. The company has grown over the years into what it is today – a company with a modern infrastructure and a diverse range of products.
